NexGen Student Entrepreneurship Challenge(NSEC) 2020

Why participate in NSEC?

Bring your ideas into reality
Revolutionize the startup ecosystem of your college
Build your network of startup enthusiasts, investors, and leaders
PAN-India initiative to compete with young entrepreneurs
Receive mentorship and funding from thought leaders, corporates, governments, and the NexGen team

How does NSEC work?

NSEC will allow the signed up students to enter into a PAN-India competition for ideating on solving real-world problems and explore their entrepreneurship skills while attending college or university. Signed up students across the country will send the ideas to Asia Inc. 500 jury to qualify for finals at Chitkara University on 6th Feb 2020.

Open Domain (any other innovative idea using Open Government Data)

Eligibility Criteria

To proceed, you must agree that you meet the below criteria

You must be enrolled for the current academic year in a university/college as an undergraduate or graduate* student at the time of application. Full-time enrollment is not required; part-time enrollment is acceptable.
You must have a business plan and model ready.
Participant must be under 30 years of age.

Can I register and participate if I do not have a pre-decided idea?

No. You must have an idea and business plan ready before submitting the application

Do I need to be part of a team before I register?

Not really. Solo presentation or pitching is acceptable.

How do I pitch? Should there be any presentation?

You need to give a presentation about your business model which should not exceed more than 7 to 8 slides

What materials will I need during the event?

Bring your laptop along with the presentation of the idea, a notebook and a pen in case you wish to take notes.

How do the NSEC help students?

The top 3 will get featured in Asia Inc.500 Magazine and get recognised with the “Award of Excellence”.
Access to successful entrepreneurs, feedback, mentorship and funding for their entrepreneurial ventures.
Refined elevator pitches. Going head to head with other business owners and answering tough questions about their ideas to our judges helps the students improve their pitch skills and enhance their ability to communicate the value proposition of their business.
Expanded networks. Competitors will meet other student entrepreneurs from India.
Media Exposure. Competitors will receive local and national media attention for themselves and their ideas.
Did we mention FUNDING? The best idea will get an opportunity to pitch to real investors on 7th February 2020 at Chitkara University and get a possible connection and funding with the investors.
